Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
Sahtu Press keeps as little about you as we can. We don't show ads, we don't use tracking or analytics, and we never sell your information.
What we keep when you buy something
When you place an order, we keep your name, email address, shipping address and what you bought. We use it to ship your order, send your receipt and download links, and answer questions about it. Orders are stored on our own web server, not shared with marketing services.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our site. Stripe also works out sales tax. See Stripe's privacy policy.
Who else sees your order
- Authors: some books ship directly from their author. For those, the author gets your name, shipping address and the book you ordered, so they can mail it. They don't see anything else in your order.
- Printful: when we sell shirts, prints and other merch, Printful prints and ships them, so they get your name, address and the items. See Printful's privacy policy.
- Email: receipts and shipping updates are sent through our email provider.
Contact form
When you write to us, your name, email and message are emailed to us. The site doesn't store them.
Newsletter
Our newsletter, It Is Well, runs on Substack. Signing up takes you to Substack, which has its own privacy policy.
Cookies
We use one small cookie to remember your cart and keep our forms secure. It isn't used for tracking, and it goes away two hours after your last visit.
Some older articles include videos or posts from YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Google or Instagram. Those come from their own sites, which may set their own cookies.
Server logs
Our web host, DreamHost, keeps standard logs of visits, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use them only to keep the site running and secure.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as tax and business laws require. Download links stop working after a set time.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete what we have about you. Email shop@sahtu.press and we'll take care of it, except for records the law requires us to keep.
Children
Our shop is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
