It is our mission to acquire, publish, and promote high quality literature that comes from both emerging and well known Lao-American authors, and others also working to promote the interest of Lao American Communities.
Our Story
Founded in 2013, Sahtu Press has grown from publishing limited edition children's books to offering a wide range of novels, short stories, and poetry. Our name, "Sahtu," comes from the Pali word "Sādhu," meaning "It is well" - an expression of praise and approval in Theravada Buddhist rituals.
