Sahtu Press is pleased to announce the forthcoming arrival of American Laodyssey this year.
American Laodyssey is a 56-poem collection reimagining 3+ decades of poetry from Bryan Thao Worra with original art by Lao American artist Bay Koulabdara. It will consider what it means to return "home" as we mark 50 years since the end of the Secret War in Laos this year.
The poems have gone through their final edits, and we're making good progress on the supplemental materials, timeline, and other surprises that should make this very different from Thao Worra’s other books and collections from the last 20 years.
We thank you all for your support, and look forward to sharing more with you soon once we hit the final production phase of this project!
